Muslim CentralSheikh Ahmed bin Talib bin Hameed is a Saudi Islamic scholar and Imam, born in Riyadh in 1980. He is known for being one of the youngest Imams of the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid Al-Nabawi) in Madinah. With a life dedicated to Islamic scholarship and public service, Sheikh Ahmed has earned widespread recognition for his religious leadership and academic achievements.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sharia from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University and a Master’s degree from the High Institute of Judiciary. His academic background laid the foundation for a respected career in Islamic jurisprudence and imamate.
As one of the youngest individuals to be appointed an Imam of Masjid Al-Nabawi, Sheikh Ahmed has led prayers in one of the holiest sites in Islam, demonstrating both scholarly depth and spiritual leadership. His appointment to this position placed him in the footsteps of esteemed religious figures entrusted with guiding millions of worshippers.
Sheikh Ahmed’s lineage also reflects a deep-rooted connection to Islamic tradition. His maternal grandfather, Sheikh Abdul Majeed Al-Jabarti, was a notable figure—having served as an Imam and Khateeb at the Prophet’s Mosque as well as a judge in Madinah.
In 1426 AH, Sheikh Ahmed bin Talib bin Hameed was honored as the “Islamic Personality of the Year” by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, further solidifying his impact and contributions to the Islamic world.
Beyond his duties at the Prophet’s Mosque, he serves as the general supervisor of a charitable society in Makkah. Additionally, he holds an academic position as chairman of the Principles of Jurisprudence and Sharia at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University.
