We examine the history of activist athletes and this generation's reemergence of athlete activism, the history of American football through a critical class struggle lens, and the politics & labor dynamics that characterize the modern pro sports leagues. Highlighting the connections between billionaire team owners, the permanent war state, real estate gentrifiers and slum lords, private prisons, education privatization, police militarization & much more; all of which are critical to fully understanding the social and political forces that define our time.
