Imam Safi Khan is a well-respected figure in the Islamic community, particularly in the College Park, MD area where he is the founder and director of the Dar-us-Salaam Community. He is recognized for his deep knowledge in Islamic law, tafsir (Quranic exegesis), and sirah (the life of the Prophet Muhammad). Imam Safi Khan holds a degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and has been an influential Imam and family and youth counselor in the Washington DC metropolitan area for over twenty-five years.

Imam Safi Khan has also served as the Religious Director and Imam at the Southlake Islamic Center. His educational journey includes studying the Dars Nizamī curriculum at the Qalam Seminary. He leads various programs focused on Seerah, Tafsir, Adab & Akhlāq, and Tazkiyah, catering to both youth and adults. His approach emphasizes the application of Islamic teachings in everyday life and community building, often engaging in dialogues and lectures that bridge traditional Islamic teachings with contemporary societal issues.
