Stephen Gerard Pagliuca (born January 16, 1955) is an American private equity investor, co-chairman of Bain Capital, and owner of Atalanta of Italian Serie A association football league. He is also former co-owner of the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Education. Raised in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards Township, New Jersey, Pagliuca graduated from Ridge High School in 1973. He attended Duke University where he played freshman basketball before receiving a BA in 1977.
